Group Fitness Classes
Ys offer classes for all ages, all levels and all interests. From low-impact exercise and chair classes, stretching and strength training to indoor cycling, water exercise, and yoga, you’ll find a group class that’s fun, supportive and keeps you moving. Step & Sculpt Mix
Define your muscles while building overall body strength. Focusing on cardio via a step workout, this is a full body workout that uses all of the “toys” such as weights, balls, bars, bands, etc.
Not for beginners, this class will help you excel in reaching your full potential by developing the skills and techniques of a professional boxer.
High Powered Interval Training
Supercharge your fitness routine and boost your metabolism by mixing high intensity bursts of exercise with moderate intensity recovery periods. It’s the quickest way to get fit, lose fat, and increase your anaerobic threshold.
Work all of your muscles and cardiovascular system in one 30 minute workout!
This combo class is a mix of exercises utilizing light weights with high repetitions attacking the core muscles while defining the body & mind. Then we’ll switch it up by developing the skills and techniques of a professional boxer without the contact
Interval Mix Up
Class will include a group warm up and mostly involves moving from one station to another in set periods of time. Each interval varies from 2-5 minutes alternating between strength and cardio. Cardio work includes Step, Hi/Lo Aerobics, Strength work include bands, mat exercises, body weight exercise, and more. We will finish with a group cool down.
Lower Body- Abs-Aerobics
Class will include a group warm up and primarily involves a variety of lower body exercises with hand weights. Strength work including: bands, mat exercises, body weight exercise, and more. We will finish with a cool down.
Yoga Pilates Essentials
This class will engage your mind, body, and spirit using rhythmic breathing to come into and out of poses practiced in a continuous flowing sequence. It also provides a unique method of strengthening and stretching exercises that focus on the “powerhouse”, the abdominals, hips, lower back, and buttocks. The exercises strengthen and tone muscles, promote strength, improve posture, promote flexibility, balance, and unite body & mind.
Abs, Core & More
This strengthening and muscle-conditioning class is a great compliment to cardio classes. The focus is over-all body toning and sculpting, emphasizing the lower body and core. Strengthen your muscles using stability balls, resistance bands, free weights, kettle bells, and more. Complete your work-out with a Pilates lengthening and stretching cool down.
A total workout, combining all elements of fitness – cardio, muscle conditioning, balance and flexibility, boosted energy and a serious dose of awesome each time you leave class.
Silver Sneakers Yoga
Yoga increases range of motion for people of any age!
In this class, where spinal flexibility & core strength are top priorities, we work on flexibility, balance, and strength. Seated and standing yoga postures are practiced along with Vinyasa (movement exercises). With breath work, we calm the mind.
Total Body Fitness
This class is designed to work on strength, toning, and flexibility of the total body, with a focus on abs, core, legs, & buns. A variety of equipment including kettle bells, body bars, bands, stability balls, & light weights will be utilized. All fitness levels are welcome. Movements and exercises can be modified to accommodate everyone!
